Class Prophecy Whxle on my two weeks vacat1on I stopped at Los Angeles As I was leavlng a fasluon show I notlced a schoolmate of mme Eugene Breruzer talkmg to Brlgltte Bardot In Eugene's school days you could always f1nd lum around some pretty g1rls It was no surprxse to fxnd tum talklng to Brlgltte Over lunch Eugene mformed me that he had dec1ded to become a movle star soon after school I later found out that the way he became a star was hls wavy black halr I got a Tom the day before my tryout he laughingly sa1d My next stop was Las Vegas S1nce my tra1n wasn't to leave for an hour from Las Vegas I decided to go swlmmmg at R1chard's D1amondClub The water was cool and refreshing After my swim the proprletor asked me if I was enjoylng myself To my amazement he was none other than R.1Cl'l1e Seppelt R1Chi6 had always enJoyed gambl1ng In lus school days so he de clded to try it on a larger scale In Las Vegas R1ch1e had won the R1chard's Diamond Club IH a card game ' I haven't lost agame yet because my cards aren't marked he expla1ned to me If I had tlme I would have trxed my luck at some of h1s tables On my way to Alaska I stopped at Bozeman Montana As I got off the tra1n I saw a beautxful horse belng unloaded that I had to see I later found that Slnrley Slmmons was the owner of the horse Shlrley had always had good taste m buylng art1cles and xt proved so m buying thls horse She had bought a horse ranch because she had enjoyed r1d1ng horseback 1n Bagnell After r1d1ng w1th her over her ranch I managed to get off my horse I W1Shed her loads of luck wxth her horses and headed for the alrport The next mornmg found me so st1ff I could hardly walk Becker's Fords Sltting belund the Manager's desk was Gary Becker Gary had always sald he would be a Presldent someday It looked 11ke he had a good start at lt too Gary showed me the scemc sltes of Anchorage 1n h1s own Ford Hav1ng had a wonderful t1me I took a plane to Mllwaukee The Yankees were playlng the Braves at Conme Mack Stadlum The Yankee pltcher was really hot today In the bottom half of the elghth mmng he hadn't even let the Braves get to first base He got 5 luts at 5 tlmes to bat too After he had struck out the last 3 batters I went dovwm to get hrs autograph I was surprlsed when he s1gned hxs name as Davxd Srmth Davld recogmzed me at ttus moment too After talkmg for a whlle I learned that Dav1d was not marrled but was st11l playlng the fleld He had Joxned the Yankees after attendlng MISSOUII Unxverslty Davxd had been voted the best pxtcher and home run lutter of the year ln h1s league I wlshed Davld lots of luck and caught a plane to attend the lndlanapolls Car Races 1n Indlana As I hked car raclng I enjoyed the Indlanapolis Car Races very much The car that came 1n first was the Adams Apple Immediately Ithought of Joe Don Stout and Tana Adams Sure enough down the runway came Tana and Sblond halred boys Wlule talking to Joe Don I found that Tana and he had gotten married after she had graduated Joe Don had been a fast but very careful driver in hxs school days and had continued tlus kind of drwing on the race track He took me for a spm around the race traclf whxch was very thrilling After talkxng to Joe Don and Tana I left them and went to Pennsylvama by car I was nearing Pittsburgh when a car driven by Jane Gldget lut the back fender After going through the names of lawyers I came to Fred Howe Attorney at Law Icalled upon At Anchorage, Alaska, I decided to rent a car to see the town. Being a Ford fan, I went to Fred and gave him my version of the accident Fred had always stressed his point of view in discussions at school and he won my case this very same way After v1s1t1ng Wlth Fred be fore his next case I left for New York City Strolling through New York City I was halled by Louise Smith in a taxicab Talking to Louise I found that she played the trumpet inthe New York Symphony Louise and I had graduated from college together and she had gone to New York for an audition in the New York Symphony She passed her aud1t1on test with flying colors and was now doing trumpet solos ID the Symphony She then showed me New York City at night My next stop was at Norfolk V1rg1n1a Idecided to have lunch at Joe's Nightclub It proved out that our Joe Allen Moyer was the manager Joe had always been the girls' 1deal 1n his senior days and from the looks of all the beautiful girls 1n h1s club he st1ll was Joe wanted me to stay for the night show but I wished him luck with the g1r1s and went on to attend the Kentucky Derby When I learned that Richard Epperson was to be the Jockey on Marybelle I put my money on that horse I knew exactly where Marybelle was in l1ne because I could see R1chard's red halr Marybelle won by half a lap andl collected my money I then went to the w1nner's r1ng to talk to Richard Richard asked if I had seen a certain girl in Montana who owned a horse ranch I couldn t think at f1rst who she could be but then I realized that it must be Shirley because she had a horse ranch and Richard was a Jockey I b1d Rlchard farewell and went to Memphis Tennessee the party too While talking to Helen I learned that she was a press agent and had cometo cover Elvis' homecoming Helen s Job brought her in contact with many of the most famous stars 1n the world Wh1le talkmgto Helen I found that she was well versed on almost every star and the places they had been After such an enjoyable party and talk with Helen I started for Arkansas In Jonesboro Arkansas I ate lunch at Nadean's Dmer After I had eaten Johnny Moyer and Nadean Pipes QMr 8x Mrs Johnny Moyer? came over to talk w1th me They had marr1ed a few years after graduating Iteased Johnny about Nadean being the boss becuase the dmer was named after her Johnny laughed but denied nothing Nadean and I got to talking of our school days and I almost missed my plane to M1am1 Wh1le swimming at the M1am1 Beach I ran 1nto Irene Jones Talklng to her I learned that she was a model 1n MIHUH Irene had come to MIHIDI to model a few years after school was ou I attended a show with her where she was to model some of the latest fash1ons She did he Job so wonderfully that when the show was over I had bought three of the fashions she modeled Irene showed me the town before I had to leave for the airport While aboard the plane I happened to seat myself by the p1lot's seat When the p1lot came back I was surprised to see that he was Sa.mmy Fleak Sammy and I got to talklng of our school days and the Junior Senlor Trips we had gone on Sammy enJoyed the seaplane and boat rides so much that he had gone to school to become a pilot Sammy ran a cattle ranch on the side I was sorry I could not see his cattle ranch but I knew that it must be tops because of his exper1ence in the 4 H As I was to get off at Rio de Jane1ro I b1d Sammy farewell and lots of luck with his vocation In Memphis, I attended Elvis' homecoming party.
