Nova's Junior High fooball team, in its second season, fell short of the .500 mark set last year. The team began on a bad note, los- ing to Olsen 19-O. The Baby Titans became successively worse with only a few outstanding individuals, as the team fell again to Driftwood 30-6. In royal Titan tradition, the young eleven began a strenuous attempt to rise above their first two loses in a heartbreaker to McNicol T9-6. Still illustrating the desire of the team that preceeded them, the Baby Titans dropped their fourth in four in a grueling battle with the Perry Wildcats 12-6. The next two games showed remarkable im- provement and desire on the part of our worn and injured gladiators. The Junior High team tied Hallendale O-O and Rogers 7-7. These two games proved the most rewarding of all the Baby Titans endeavors. ln it, all of the work and heartaches of the season proved their worth. Though the young Titans didn't win any of their contests, they gained an immeasurable amount of experience, which will aid them in their upcoming season as the Titan JVs. Maybe he WOULD be better as a bench-warmer, wonders Baby Titan Coach Pete Cavari. Coach Moody Fisher keeps the press box informed on Titan plays.
