AV-TV Production Engineers consists of nine train- ed operators of Nova TV broadcasting equipment. The maintainance and installation of electronic equipment, and the direction and production of lec- ture and classroom films made up the special duties of the AV-TV engineers. AV-TV engineers also operate cameras for the Hello World show and assist, from the technical end, in the production of the morning show with her sister club, Nova Television Productions. Special honors were given the AV-TV engineers for their achievement at the Pompano Industrial Arts Fair, where Nova TV was one of the main attractions. Nova Television Productions supplies the talent, writing, and material for the Hello World program, shown each morning in cooperation with AV-TV. A special service of NTP was their weekly inter- views with famous celebraties, prominent educators and congressmen. These words launched the Senior Drama Club into its first big proiect, the junior class play. The Senior Drama Club, in co- operation with the iunior class, presented the play, And Never Been Kissed. The Club worked hard on the junior class play and spent many more hours in producing the im- promptu pantomining of unusual situations. A hint of dramatic talent crept out while performing in- dividual monologues and group skits. Leading the Nova dramatists were President-Joy Scharer, Vice President-Gretchen Matzke, Secretary -Sheila Riggans, Treasurer-Ellen Bluestone, and sponsor-Mrs. Faye Manning.

'1 ' 2l'.s flli The activities period more commonly known as the twenty-fifth period takes place Friday afternoon during the regular fifth period time. At this time the student is given an opportunity to attend the extra-curricular activities of their choice. Club meetings are generally held, and help-sessions in all areas meet for the student that has a problem in any area of his work. Organized by Mr. Max Kitson, head of stu- dent activities, the twenty-fifth period has be- come a vital part of the Nova system.
