William Shakespeare Retreat Confirms Unification The mystery for the Senior Class of '82 was whether they were the privileged few or the underprivi- leged many. With the change in the school schedule and the various policy changes towards the use of the Senior Lounge, this normally easy choice became apparently more difficult. Despite the many changes that this year's Seniors had to overcome, the group managed to become one of the most unified Senior Classes ever. “I think our class is like a big family, and we all work together,” commented Stasi Connelly. Senior Retreat served to be one of those special events that truly brought the class together. I thought it was so neat, spending the night and everything. It wasn’t so much a unification as it was a ver- ification of the fact that we are al- ready one,” remarked Debbie Lyon. For many the idea of being a Senior didn't quite sink in until beanie time. ‘‘The first day I really felt like a Senior was when we got the blank beanies to decorate for Freshman initiation and we were walking around with them on our heads, said Karen Keim. r 84 Seniors

Prom, which turned out to be the highlight of the Junior year. They treated the Seniors to an ex- travagant evening with a taste of elegance and lots of fun. One of the main mystiques of the Junior class was the wave of foreign exchange students. These students arrived from various countries such as Columbia, Ger- many, and Denmark. Amparo Arango a Columbian student, returned home before Christmas Break. “Sion is a new and different experience which has taught me a lot,” commented Anne Hubsch, the student from Denmark. Iris Reim from Germany stated, “Even though an all girls’ school is not exactly what I expect- ed in terms of fun times, Sion is a most interesting melting pot of different nationalities. It is a great ex- perience for me. In spite of their diversity, the chief clue to the class of ’83 was . . . UNITY. D uniors 83
