Juniors Capture Prize “The Juniors did it!” exclaimed Jennifer Jenkins. As it has been in the past, Junior Year was very frustrat- ing at first. Carnival was approaching, and the Juniors seemed to be lacking in something. Then their spark came alive. With encouragement and unity the Juniors pulled off the biggest upset in Carnival history by be- ing top sellers. They were proud and unified. Among many of the energetic influences upon the Juniors the Retreat was the top-seeded help. This year, the Class of '83 went out to the gorgeous surroundings of Bonner Springs to learn more of God, friends, and themselves. They benefited from the retreat to keep up the momentum attained from Carnival. The feelings of the Juniors colored their faces all through the year, helping them to pull off a successful bake sale and . . . PS AT Challenges Class ... of course, the Juniors put their energy to good use outside of school. Many worked at such stores as Macy's, Steve's Shoes, and various sports centers. They also participated in several plays at Rockhurst High School. In addition, the Juniors excelled in the academic area. Though this year was tough with the pressure applied heavily, they produced satisfying results. Ner- vously, the girls took the PSAT and SAT tests and anxiously awaited their results. College decision was one big headache for some of them who thought of nothing else. Colleges such as Swarthmore, Notre Dame, and KU took up most of the girls’ college at- tention until the time for . . . 80 Juniors
