Juniors Capture Prize “The Juniors did it!” exclaimed Jennifer Jenkins. As it has been in the past, Junior Year was very frustrat- ing at first. Carnival was approaching, and the Juniors seemed to be lacking in something. Then their spark came alive. With encouragement and unity the Juniors pulled off the biggest upset in Carnival history by be- ing top sellers. They were proud and unified. Among many of the energetic influences upon the Juniors the Retreat was the top-seeded help. This year, the Class of '83 went out to the gorgeous surroundings of Bonner Springs to learn more of God, friends, and themselves. They benefited from the retreat to keep up the momentum attained from Carnival. The feelings of the Juniors colored their faces all through the year, helping them to pull off a successful bake sale and . . . Class Spirit Travels . . . Spring Dance. Here the travel itch of the class of '84 began to be apparent. This group, which had the largest number of any class going on the summer Eu- rope trip, made plans to spend a preview evening in Paris via their dance theme and decorations. Cries of C’est fantastique!” arose from the student body as they surveyed the transformation of the Grande Salle into a Parisian bistro. In summarizing the investigation of the sophomore class, the difficulty comes in sorting the volumes of in- formation available. These girls were everywhere at all hours of the day and night. They seemed to be the first to volunteer for anything from packaging Christ- mas goodies for the needy to running the concession tables for plays to auditioning for performances. Lisa Atchity even became an expert in Japanese. (Perhaps Lisa is preparing for a career as an international spy). What is the secret of the active and omnipresent sophomores—INVOLVEMENT.
