Fathers Share the Fun On the 26th of January, 1982, in the evening hours, Sionian girls and their fathers were reported to have mysteriously left their homes. They were seen congre- gating from all parts of the city into the Crown Center Hotel. For what purpose . . . , to plot against Sionian mothers? Further investigation into the matter revealed the truth. January 26 was the date of the annual Fa- ther-Daughter Banquet. This tradition has been carried on at Sion throughout the history of the school, and this year proved to be a beautiful party. As Jamie Waller confessed afterwards, “It’s really fun because you don’t get to go out with your dad very often.” The evening consisted of a dinner featuring Chicken Kiev, dancing to a live band, and especially worded songs performed for seniors by their fathers and vice versa. The photographer who was available to photo- graph proud fathers and their girls served to be good evidence to the solving of the mystery. Mr. Selig was under suspicion of being one of the ring leaders, as he alone distinctly led the Senior Fathers in their song to the Seniors. The whole banquet proved to be perfectly delightful. Crown Center provided a very elegant setting for some very elegant people.
