Mr. Gregory Thomas Wuetcher AA Riverside City College BA California State University, Chico Athletic Director, Head Varsity Basketball Coach, American Literature yan: Way back when Mr. Wuet- cher was a student at Notre Dame, he describes himself as being a shy, studious, mild mannered jock. He had not always planned on coming back to teach here at N.D. but he was in the right place at the time. Mr. Wuetcher teaches American Literature and coaches his favorite sport, basketball. When asked which he prefer- red teaching or being a stu- dent, he replied, They both have their own equal value. It was fun and rewarding being a student, but it has been ex- tremely rewarding being on the other side, teaching and coaching. A few things have changed since Mr. Wuetcher was a stu- dent. One of the changes has been the teachers. They have come and gone, but the big dif- ferences are that he is now teaching brothers and sisters of people he once went to school with, and that some of his class mates are teaching along with him. Mr. Wuetcher enjoys teaching American Lit. coaching basketball and also enjoys working with the rest of the faculty educating such a good student body. The people are great. The students can be thankful for a hard working faculty, and the teachers are fortunate to be in- structing such quality students. Mr. Wuetcher had good people helping him along the way as a student and he hopes that he can provide the same kind of help for the students today. Miss Dolan came as a stu- dent in her sophomore year and graduated Cum-Laude in 1976. She feels Notre Dame hasn't really changed that much since her student days, but notes the level of spirit was higher then and that students attitudes were a great deal different. During her years as a stu- dent, Miss Dolan remembers studying under Mr. Bellah, Mrs. Tenney and Mr. Heding. They are now all co-workers along with former fellow students, Mr. Wuetcher, Miss Schulte, Miss de la Cruz and her best and closest friend, Mrs. Favela. Speaking with Mrs. Favela and asking about Miss Dolan led to one word repeated many times describing her as a fellow stu- dent, noisy, noisy, noisy! That isn't all though, her nickname according to Mrs. Favela is Miss Cheerfull and everybody's friend. Outside of being everybody' friend, Miss Dolan kept busy with maintaining an above average grade point average and being on the student council. She was very involved in drama, one of her favorite classes. She was president of the drama club and in 1975 appeared in the school musical, The Un- sinkable Molly Brown.
