Language In order to broaden the language department at Notre Dame High School, and to offer a variety of language classes, Latin I, taught by Father Bob, and German l, taught by Mr. Spurlock, have been added parts. Latin was part of the foundation for romance languages, such as Spanish and French. Latin also has a strong in- fluence on the English language, and students enrich their own English vocabulary through learning it. Next year Latin ll and Ill will be added as well as German ll. By the end of the year, students in Latin will have a basic understanding of simple Latin. Father Bob has a tough job getting the students to understand the variation of the language. Special thanks to Father Bob and Mr. Spurlock for sharing their knowledge so stdents have more of a choice. Mrs. Benchoff laughing at a students joke.
