literature: a child's jo no one can play like first graders, but everyone, including the students of 4. , f children's lit. and sister brigid marie had fun on children's day. it was barbara casey and annette de ruyter, students from the children's lit. class, Who sug- gested children's day as a project as an alternative to an exam. sr. brigid agreed to the idea, so they proceeded to organize it, sticking it out bravely to the end when they observed fantas- tic results. r - Q y on the chilly morning of december 12, notre dame's campus was enhanced by the presence of costumed students representing different characters from children's fairy tales and verse. throughout the day, the campus was visited by over 400 children who were involved in games and stories prepared for them by children's lit. students. they really enjoyed them- captain nice soars over disbelievers in a single bound. of A M , selves and were so mesmerized by the authenticity of the characters that they entered into the land of fantasy with sheer delight. martha dale and jeanette curtis Hclowning around.

Q ten little i ans above: walter hackett strangles joanne rodriguez, his tenth victim. right: jay krueger, victim of a poisonous drink, falls to his death. below: joanne rodriguez protects herself from her suspect, james staylor. the drama department presented ten little indians, an agatha cristie murder mystery. under the direction of mr. brown, and his assistant, larry green, the talented cast kept the audience on the edge of their seats. the realistic sets used in the performance were produced by mr. bellah's art classes. cooperation and enthusiasm from the entire crew made the production a success. mr. brown and cast applaud opening night success.
