varsity football team: ftopy steve loomis, pat fahey, charlie stretch, mike fahey, mike nelson, bob steed, alex ybarra, dan meier, dennis sandoval, fred kleber, mike bacon, bill lizotte, john ryang fmiddley dennis jordan, john hickey, dale barajas, terry straw, larry chacon, mike mc coy, don brinson, ralph durbin, jeff johnson, mike tokorcheck, mike chacon, larry mascarig fbootomj ken beckerle, arnie loera, john Wiggins, tom sebastian, mike o'donnell, frank pacific, daryl dennis, danny pacific, mike mezey, and don mac lean. coach meier encourages daryl dennis. as the season approached, the air of exciting optimism became evident. notre dame's football team presented school with an outstanding model of pride and skill. despite two close losses in the pre-season, and two tie in league play, the titans came through the league unde and into the quarter finals of the c. i.f. playoffs before losing by 1 point to 29 palms in the final 7 seconds of th game. in fact, the three losses sustained by the titans came by a meager total of 5 points. the titan defense, led by tom sebastian, mike chacon, s f ai i I i 5 ,M ,i,..,, M. the eated e and pat fahey, was truly outstanding all year. the defense held opponents to a mere 28 points in 9 games, establis a new school record and leading all riverside county in this department. the offense, led by the passing of mike fahey, the receiving of mike nelson, rushing of larry chacon and frank pacific and the excellent blocking of fred kleber and mike mc coy, also shined throughout the season. maturity and leadership were provided by only 11 seniors. these highly motivated athletes created the backbone of the team and set an example for the re- turning 24 lettermen. as a result of this fine season, the titans were re- warded with an impressive 10 all-league berths. tom sebastian was named on the all-county team, mike fahey accorded honorable mention, and pat fahey was the only titan to be awarded all-c. i. f. 1974 marked the return of theftitanj football supremacy with 24 returning lettermen and the addition of several fine athletes from the frosh- soph, the 1975 edition promises to be the best ever! hing
