They have managed to put up with us when we felt like doing anything but school work. The faculty has put much time, effort, and patience into their jobs. They have, despite our moods, been able to prepare us to take our place in society. And so, for all of this, and more, we Say thanks. At this time we would also like to say that we have not forgotten the many priests who have made our high school years more enjoyable and enriching. They too have played an important role in helping us to accept the future — the ever changing world that awaits us. So with all these great people behind us, we can say, “Look out world; there’s no stopping us now!” Dedication To Our Parents It is with that same kind of special love you have for us that we dedicate this yearbook to you. So many times we have taken you for granted, but we realize now, more than ever, that you are very special people.’ Though we will soon be out on our own, we're not afraid, because we know we are not alone. You will be right there at our side to help us in any way you can. Like the roots of a tree planted firmly in the ground, are our hearts planted firmly in yours. This book shows a special part of our high school years, years made possible by you. We could never begin to tell you how much we love and need you, or how grateful we are for this life you have given us. And in case we haven't told you lately, we love you very much, and always will. Bob is diligently at work on his religion project. “And what is you of euthanasia?” r Opinion Lo Ot 26 “What plans lurk in Chris Young’s mind? The shadow knows!” English Marianne, Theresa, and Colette take a few min- utes to chat before class begins. How do you spell “homework” — one m or two? “See, I told you I'd pass!” “The walls were gray; the floor was gray; even the people were gray...” “How do you work this thing anyway?” Is Sr. Pauline cutting class again? Physics Peggy and Bob don’t find Eddie’s projection very clear. Mike and Chris help Walter to investigate the theory about falling bodies. All that mental work makes Eddie tired. French 5s 3 é 5 Comment ca va? “Hey, where’s Colette?” Something seems to be puzzling Michelle takes time out to do her French Colette. homework. 29 30 Business Getting ready for the business world requires a lot of work. Marianne and Jean sharpen their skills by using the Steno Lab. Will it be music today, Donna? Ellen is eager to begin work, while Maureen is “Want me to help you look?” busy handing out books . Janet is sure it’s the right rule but Terri and Marianne doubt it. It’s not all that bad, is it? oe i Are Jackie and Linda Shipp straightening out or messing up the filesP??? Chris Young demonstrates the proper use of the compass. Trig ti Beware! Children at play. No, it’s not supposed to be a square. Janet might know the amending process, but she sure can’t spell! . The juniors are Sr. Victorine’s best customers. “See, I told you that additional is syllabicated after the i, not the dl” Is this a modern version of Hamlet that we behold? Let’s hope it doesn’t explode! It’s not really as compli- cated as it looks. Perhaps the library just doesn’t have that book, Tommy. Judging from their smiles, Patty and Fitzy must certainly enjoy their business classes. 37 Genius at work! oe Le “Biology has its ups and downs.” Sophomores What they didn’t write on tombstones in those days! Sr. Rose Therese points out an error in Cathy’s calculations. “To see a World in a grain of sand, And Heaven in a wild flower; Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand, And Eternity in an hour.” William Blake Geometry is not all work and no play. 39 40 That religion project must be due tomorrow! Why I always thought you were a sophomore,” declares Mrs. Sylvia Doolin, school nurse. een “Now you see it; after 12:00, you won't” is probably what Mrs. Munroe is thinking. “Try it; you'll like it,” exclaims Mrs. Cyr. What is Mr. Munroe, school janitor, hiding behind his back? He’ll never tell! 43 LES Ad Activities 46 Student Council Student Council Officers: Geraldine Gagne, Secretary; Stephen Capuccio, President; William Smith, Vice-President; Donna Mc- Clary, Treasurer; and Sr. Beatrice Gerard, Moderator. Retreat The Sophomores leave for a tour of Marathon House. All the comforts of home. “Hey, where are you going? The Marathon House is that way!” 53 34 Winterfest May I have this dance? Winterfest is the highlight of the year. Everyone sits this one out. Eddie seems to be a bit tall for In- grid, but she does not seem to mind. Walter eyes the pretty young ladies. The Medford Folk singers entertained during intermission. A break in the action. 55 Class Trip The Capitol was one of the many sites the seniors visited in Washington.
