RAYMOND F, MEUSE In the past it has not been our custom to dedicate our yearbook to any particular in- dividual. However, this year we are deviating from this practice by dedicating the Stella Maris'' in memoriam to Raymond F. Meuse of the Class of 1964. Ray wasn't a saint or a hero and he never made a resounding impression on the world, but we feelthat he completely embodied every characteristic and idealthat a Catholic youth should possess, Today, we dedicatethis book to Ray in the hope that when we leave Notre Dame we, too, will remember what we have been taught here and will be able to live it each day of our lives. “Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new genera- tion of Americans — born in this century, tem- pered by war, disci- plined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage.”
