He seems to have an inexhaustible fountain of joy, thereby diffusing his jooose spirit among all listeners. All through high school he has proved himself a leader and an A-plus student. Norman has a topnotoh reputation for sohool spirit and a sterling oharacter. Our Class Presi- dent has shouldered his responsibili- ties of office with a steady smile, and that's the way we'll always re- member him, tod ol4 Mewecenss PRESIDENT CECILE AUDET 183 Sherman Street Cambridge, Mass. A cheerful disposition makes many friends. Fair and square and serious in her studies is this lass. Her blond hair covers a busy head, so much so that ) she is our popular Vice-President. Her charming ways and pleasant dispo- sition with an ever ready spirit to partioipate in school activities have made her one of our favorites.Success must lie inwait for one who puts | such energy into all she does. . ‘ TREASURER JOSEPH CYR 80 Yorktown St. Cambridge, Mass. The better you know hin, The better you like him. Wherever there's mischief you'll find Joe, for full of life and mirth is he. Well- liked by all is our Class Treasurer and musician. Who knows, with those nimble fin- gers of his he might beoome a future impressario of the 88 keys , or with his prese ent experience, be a magnate of a grocery conoern. oe sates NOR te he - 13 - Prue Gels wee y: JEANNETTE COTE 26 Reed Ste Cambridge, Masse Always smiling, full of pep, Ambition and she are right in step.” Jeannette, an ambitious and bril- liant student, has a sparkling smile and a winning personality which have earned her a very special place in our hearts. Coming to us as an honor student from our Elementary Sohool, her splendid reoord during her four years of high school bears testimony to her soholarship and reliability. In years to come she intends to ful- fill her ambition to be a Medical Seoretary. JEANNETTE BROCHU 8 Dudley St. Cambridge, Masse A fun-loving pal and a jolly good sport. Jeannette, a tall, attract- ive girl, has sparkling eyes and a winning smile. Roller- skating, dancing, and a gen- eral good time are some of the attractions that fill up her leisure time. She has no def- inite plans for the future, but the best wishes of her friends attend her in whatever sphere of life she may wander. rl As CLAIRE BREEN 155 Sherman St. Cambridge, Mass. Silence is golden. Claire is quiet and serene in school but none of us real- ly know her out of olass. She likes to joke, jest, and laugh and for this she is welcomed everywhere. Although Claire never mentions what she in- tends doing in the future, many of us have our suspicions. She is always laughing and gay, too, She gets along with all of us. Yvonne is a care-free and happy-go-lucky student, one who is always willing to give a helping hand. The olass wouldn't be the same without her wit and humor. Her favor- ite pastime is dancing, and she is a lover of sports. Dental Hygiene is the field which seems to attraot her. What dentist would refuse her employment to cheer up his patients? SALLY DAVIS 120 Jackson Ste Cambridge, Masse Personality and charm she does combine; A sense of humor and a clever mind.“ We now introduce our energetic and fun-loving miss, Sally Davis. She is certainly thorough in all she does and never has it been heard that this girl came to Glass unprepared. Sally is at her best when gracefully perform- ing on the dancing floor and none of us will forget her abil- ity as a ballet danoer. To be @ school teacher is the goal for which she is heading — Best of luck, Sally — . ake MARIE DUPEREY 20 Dudley Ste Cambridge, Mass. a good disposition that gold cannot buy.” Marie is a quiet, sociable, and well-liked girl. Her pop- ularity rates high with every- one because of her grand per- sonality. She enjoys a good time but also knows when to be serious. Because of these qualities we are sure she will go far in attaining her goal in life. - 16 = DORIS DESROSIERS 368 Rindge Avenue Cambridge, Mass. The sweetest musio in the world is that of the human voice. Doris is not too short, nor too tall, but is loved by all of her classmates. Whenever entertainment is needed, we oan always rely on her, because her bewitohing voice draws many listeners and holds them spell- bound. Since her future plans are not yet revealed, we can' t say much, but we are sure she will succeed. 5 ELIZABETH HACKETT 698 Green St. Cambridge, Masse To know her is a pleasure, To have her friendship is a treasure. Although we have known Betty for two years only, we have dis- covered that her friendly smile and her pleasant persona lity help her to make lasting friend- ships. Her red hair and blue eyes are a tremendous asset in accomplishing this feat. She is really a perfect example of the saying, Good things come in small packages. ELAINE FRENIERE 54 Montgomery St. Cambridge, Mass. Order is heaven's first law. Elaine is our idea of a perfeot lady at all times. Never ruffled or caught racing around with hair disheveled, always heard speaking in a soft, well-modulated voice, tall, dignified, and gracious — that's Elaine as we have known her Since her first days at school. We feel sure that he will Sing his way along the road of success. Our best luck to youl PAULINE LEBLANC 40 Harvey St. Cambridge, Mass. “A good heart is better than riches.” A pleasant smile, a sunny dis- position, and a will to win, all three spell Pauline. She possess- es the efficienoy and capability of a successful typist. Whenever you hear a ripple of laughter you know that Pauline is present. True friends are like diamonds, precious and rare. Here is a happy-go-lucky -al who never fails to contribute to our olassroom atmosphere with her sunny disposition. DORIS seemed all dressed for a ball - This get-up she had was for Carnegie Hall. She had a voice that was quite shrill, An impression to all it did instill. YVONNE, our witty comedienne, Livened a show from beginning to end; Her steady appearance at the Roxie Proved that she had plenty of moxie . Growing potatoes in Idaho Was HAROLD WILLIAMS making “dough”. An immense fortune he has amassed, His large estate left you aghast, By the sea we found JEANNETTE B. On vacation - - at Miami, Teaching rhumba, samba, quadrille, And hoped some day to go to Brazil. If it's learnin' you are yearnin!' To SALLY's school you'll be turnin’, There she taught to the best of her knowledge Being a graduate of Wellesley College. WILFRED's voice had brought him new fame, Everyone knew him down our lane. He won his upstart and his name With his favorite song, Mule Train . A familiar figure came into view, As BETTY HACKETT modeled the new . Minks, ermines, muskrats too = All she eagerly displayed for you. If you have problems in etiquette, The person to see is CECILE AUDET. She had a column all her own In a magazine called Ladies! Home . on 154 504 In a restaurant whom did we see? None other than Yvonne drinking tea. And when from the table her oup did drop In walked JEANNETTE COTE with pail and mop. JOE's fingers made his work thrilling, He was pulling strings for a living. His specialty was that of duets Of singing and dancing marionettes, On a corner was PAULINE L. With bunches of flowers trying to sell; Freshly picked and smelling sweet All were sold along the street. Cambridge had one more election, The people's choioe was this selection - ‘Twas the first in history - a Lady-Mayor - None other than our popular CLAIRE. And all of a sudden, to our surprise, Along came NORMAN changed in size. And though he had been ambitious Now he was only washing dishes. PAULINE POIRIER had an easy life, Of a great soientist she was the wife. She and her husband had struck it rich By inventing a sure-cure for the itoh. When we came across ELAINE A lot of weight she had gained; For during all the years that had passed Our Elaine rely did not fast. Last but not seast there was MARIE Squandering her riches in gay Parees She was the “brain” of the notorious mob, The one that pulled the Brinks Job. And in this pool in which we've glanced Sparkling bubbles that moment danced. For from the bottom of the mere A school of fish did then appear. And that, my friends, is the conclusion Of our propheoy and its illusions. kl 5) ue = 4 904 Class President disoussing Senior Prom A typical Biology olass = 24 = ae Re ye re (ae oil ee ed oe who TOILS Witz Strep, en @ First acouraoy, then speed ®) ud 004 CLASS WILL We, the class of 1950, hereafter to be known as the party of the first part, having no oonnection with any other party, Demooratic, Republican, or Birthday and being of poor health and of unsound mind because of ex- cessive study, do hereby bequeath the following, acoord- ing to the laws of the state and the censorship of the Facultye TO THE FATHERS OF THE PARISH -we leave our undying grat- itude for their religious guidance given us during our happy days here at N. Our teachers so kind, so wise and sweet, We look forward to the next time we'll meet. We leave all our olassmates, so good and true; With few words of farewell, May God Bless You , No words can express how we feel to-night, Leaving you, our N. D. P. High. To you, our dear teachers, we have all come to say, We now wish to thank you in every way. We've received so much, we've so little to give, Through the years in our hearts, your teachings will live. A new world we see, and decisions to make, But because of you, wise judgment we'll take. Farewell to your portals, and school-days, good-bye, Our beloved N. D. P. High.
