1251 cd DECEMBER -= The corridors of N. D. P. H. were the soene of bustling activity and prep- aration for the Christmas holidays. We thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas Parties held in each homeroom, JANUARY - In this oold and blustery month was presented our first Minstrel Show, in whioh the entire Sophomore Class took part. Our efforts were well rewarded with a day off. Hurraht FEBRUARY - The next surprise came when Rita Doucet, a Junior, won the Boston Herald Spelling Bee Cup. She was presented the award by Reverend Father Sherlock, Superintendent of Schools in the Archdiocese of Boston. WN. D. P. H. was indeed proud of its Spelling Champ}{ MARCH Spring and beautiful weather were not near at hand. We had plenty of worries though. The Classical group was seen going around glassy-eyed trying to figure out the mysteries of isosceles and soalene triangles;while the Commercial students were endeavoring to decipher the hieroglyphios of Stenography. APRIL - Great preparations were made for the expected visit of Very Reverend Mother Marie Therese, Superior General of the Sisters of the Holy Union of the Sacred Hearts. How bitterly disappointed we were on our return from the Easter holidays when we were told that Very Reverend Mother could not honor us with her visit, due to dome unforeseen ciroumstances. JUNE At last the dreaded Catholio University Exams | However, as bad as they were, there were no casualities. And now we eagerly awaited our Junior Year. JUNIOR YEAR SEPTEMBER - Once more the corridors of N. D. P. H. echo with the sound of footsteps as eager students hurry to make the last bell. Again we see timid (7) little Fresh- men peer around the corner, walk slowly up the stairs, and cautiously enter the building. We oan't imagine why they should be frightened so} OCTOBER - Did you hear any blood-ourdling screams as you passed by Room 14? Don't worry - it's just our Junior Biologists exhibiting their specimens to our frail Commercial students. Any one with spare time, please register, and become one of the band of fearless grasshopper hunters who brave the wilds of the empty lot on Sargent Street to hunt specimens. NOVEMBER - This month marks the beginning of Teen-Age Dances at N. D. P. H. These dances will be held twioe a month under the capable direotion of Reverend Father Brunelle and the auspices of the Men's Club. DECEMBER = Our homeroom is a-flutter with plans for the Prom, the Minstrel Show, and other activities. Our Christmas Party was held in spite of the inolement weather and enjoyed by everyone. Time off for a well-deserved rest. FEBRUARY - N.D.P.H. is in an uproar! Once again oomes the High School Whist. The Juniors presented their second Minstrel] Show which, we are proud to say, was a huge success. A radio performance was given by the Glee Club. Our golden- throated choristers sang Les Rameaux on The Student Hour Program.
