The TEA ROSE, a thought, though other flowers are fairer Sweeter of scent, and brightor to our gaze, There is not one, of all life's blossoms raror Sweet though, its perfume, a11 we wish convoys. An angol descended from her home in the sky, To pencil the tea rose with an exquisite dye A gem of creation, to ravish the sight And pour on the thoughts of supernal delight. Bright and glorious is that creation Written all over in this little flower off ours Making evident our own revelation In these years of earth, this golden flower, Just to know the TEA ROSE is our own And no power will try to take away Is not this onough for us alone To prepare us for the gladness of the day? f
