Inge. lwtnly sux I r D 4 H11 Business Efficiency Club HI' Business Efhciency Club of the Secretarial Department has been active since 1927 This club brings the members of this Dep1rtment into closer union and benefits each individual At the beginning of the school year the club gave a Business Luncheon to vselcomt the new Junior members into the Business Efficiency When the close of the year came they in turn gave a farewell luncheon to the Seniors During these business luncheons business talks are given by different members and a program is given by the Program Committee Among the activities sponsored during the year were the providing of a Christmas dinner for a poor family and the sending of clothes to the Deaf and Dumb Institute at Berkeley throu,h the whole plant and witnessed the publication of a newspaper Another event of the year was a debate held at one of the monthly meetings The Seniors debated against the Juniors The question discussed was Resolved That a Business Education is More Advantageous to a Boy than to a Girl The affirmative was upheld by the Seniors Eletta Baldacci Mmme Rasmussen and Edith Rosati The negative was upheld by the juniors Dorothy Melton Frances Brannan and Barbara Allemand The yudges decided in favor of the negative Each year the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered for the spiritual and temporal welfare of the members of the club This year our Mass was offered at St Mary s Church after which the juniors gaye the Senior members a breakfast This club does a great deal in helping its members to become fitted for their bus: ness career The officers of this club are as follows President Edith Rosati Vice President Mary Santoro Secretary Orceha Helfter Treasurer Mane Roesti Board of Directors Mmme Rasmussen Barbara Allemand Ann Tomasim Program Commnttee Caroline Roesrl Dolores Holt Ursula Kane Frances Brannan , U ,.
