MONSIGNOR DAVID P. HERLIHY: Principal, Religion II. The Very Reverend David P. Herlihy One of the reasons for the continual growth and development of our relatively young school is the guid- ance and sincere interest of our principal, the Very Reverend Monsignor David P. Herlihy. From the first moments of our education here the seniors were proud to be called students of Notre Dame, and Monsignor has always been one of the reasons for our deep-rooted feeling. During freshman year his presence did much to elim- inate the confusion that surrounded us and to impress us with the Notre Dame spirit. As sophomores we came to know him a little better. We soon saw that Mon- signor Herlihy was a priest endowed with warmth, sincerity, and zeal. Even at this early stage, we were aware of his constant interest in everything at Notre Dame. During our junior and senior years his name was almost synonymous with Notre Dame. We fully realize that every Notre Dame student owes him a debt of gratitude, but none are more conscious of this than the seniors. May Our Lord watch over you, Monsignor, and grant that your future years be spent in happiness, contentment, and that peace of mind attained only through complete devotion to the work of Christ. Isnit the new IBM system wonderful? Rev. Charles Schoy, Guidance Counselor, Sister Angels, Dean of Girls, and Rev. Eugene Kolb, Dean of Boys, think so. REV. CHARLES SCHOY: Guidance Coun- selor, Religion III, IV, National Honor Society Moderator, Home-School Association Moder- ator. SISTER M. ANGELS, CSC: Associate Prin- cipalg Dean of Girls, World History, American History, Senior Class Moderator. REV. EUGENE KOLB: Dean of Boys, Re- ligion IV, Latin II, III. During the second semester Father Schoy was appointed principal of the new Bishop Gibbons High School in Tonawanda. Father Kolb re- placed him as Guidance Counselor at Notre Dame.
