Purpe e Make the Difference VERY student is a member of the Cath- olic Students Mission Crusade the purpose of which is to support the work of the Missions. The annual Mission Dance,selling Christmas cards and ribbon, a paper drive and other projects --all proved to be suc- cessful ventures so that by midyear S485 was sent to the Missions. Mite boxes for voluntary contributions proved that in the heart of the N.D. student there existeda spirit of sacrifice and a realization of the urgent needs of the Missions. ts, ' gan , ..ii. ,.,. Q-.g F wiriiff- Y WH 'r'- HQW- WHATKIND' WILL YO The year-round drive for cancelled stamps opened with a display of a poster by the Officers of the CSMC: Albert Repicci, David Connolly, Beatrice Longhini and Margaret Quinlan, President, The students responded generously to this call and provided the CSMC with another source of funds to be used in aiding the Missions. Besides cancelled stamps, old Christmas cards were also collected, and sent to the Indian Missions in North Dakota. HE Notre Dame Ath- , letic Council, under we 32555 e the direction of Coach wi,-.5 Henry Lewis, is the prin- cipal backbone of athletic activities in and out of school. The main purpose of the Council is to pro- mote athletics and sports- man-like conduct. In the past, the NDAC has spon- sored numerous dances and bazaars which have benefited the whole school.
