We learn to make a Mary-like home ), ' -! E» THE future homemakers of Notre Dame are being trained in the arts of a truly Catholic home in the home economics de- partment of Notre Dame. The girls have learned this year to cook everything from cherry pies to a complete dinner. During the year they sponsored a fudge sale for the benefit of the Missions. The second se- mester was devoted to sew- ing; aprons and skirts were the favorites of most stu- dents. One of the more pressing problems of this department has been to decide how to use two nylon parachutes which Father Herlihy gave to them. Mary, Queen of the home, make them Homemakers after your pattern. fk MB -- » . ABOVE: Ready to taste a fresh from the oven peach pie are Barbara Kearney and Joyce Casper. N.
