Vvhy, Notre Dame won another haslcethall game, of course. Our sextet has been victorious in six out of eight of its ventures on the court. Thanks to the endeavors ol Nliss Rita Smith, our very capable coach, we have a team to he proud of. Alberta Nlills, captain and competent forward of the team, is aided in scoring high points by Elizabeth Bissinger, Jeanne Nloran, and Helen Healy. Elizabeth Bissinger is high scorer of the season. Our indispensable guards are Anne lxflingey, Regina Repetto, and Nlarguerite Nloran. Jeanne and lxlarguerite Nloran have the unusual distinction ol' having played for tour years on the Varsity. The Junior Varsity also ranks high in the hearts of all. lVlary Vvilliains, Anne Nlylett, and Helene lxlullins are the forwards who flip the hall through the nets, while Dolores Fletcher, Flay Burnell, and Theresa Vvelch are the guards who smash the ball laaclt to our forwards whenever it crosses the white line. She has per- formed wonders in organizing so successfully the new and varied sports' cast. The outlook is bright and we hope her stay with us is a long and happy one. Bliss Smith is assisted hy the A. A. Representatives in her endeavor and splendid success. The president of the Athletic Association this year was Nlarguerite Nloran, aided hy Nlary Yviiliams, vice-president. Rita Kenny, a junior, served as capable secretary. Other senior representatives were Doris Breneman, Patricia Harrington and Nlargaret Nlary Harte. The thud of wood, amid the screeching voices of excited Iassies, signaled to the world at large that the ever popular sport of hockey had come into season. 30
