Last Tribute Four years ago, a class ofreserved but ambitious freshmen embarked upon a quest -- one which was to carve a permanent place for itself in thewarmest corner of every heart concerned. This is not a history of that quest, rather this is a tribute to the self-sacrificing souls who gave of their time, effort, services, and, sometimes, heartaches that the struggling class might emerge from its quest, its Holy Grail in hand. This is our tribute to you, devoted Class Officers, past and present! were we to mt the Virtues exam - SEATED: Jeanne Huard, Secretary, Robert Cournoyer,Pres1dent plified by you Over the years, Home STANDING: Pery Nuckle, Vice-Presidentg Paul Latatlle could better fulfill our demand than Treasurer- the theological virtues. At all times, you have manifested ceaseless FAITH in the ability of our class to meet the rigid standards of our Alma Mater. Never have you for one minute abandoned the HOPE that our beloved Mother Mary would pull us through each trial and tribulation. But most important to the Class of '63 is the Christlike CHARITY you pathfinders have exercised toward all who have come your way, whether for advice, congratulations, or reproach. In the portrait above are four of our leaders. They represent the elite students who have ever held office over the years. To you four and to all the others, we would now like to express our deepest gratitude for making our high schoolyears at Notre Dame four of the most enjoyable and memorable -phases of our teen -age lives, for weaving from those frightened freshmen such a closely knit and inseparable class, for enabling us to share so many experiences together, and for pouring forth your leadership above and beyond the call of duty. To you will our prayers and thoughts go each timewe think of our beloved Alma Mater. Live up to itsmemory always, just as you have inspired us to! May you, brave'souls and stalwart hearts, someday harvest in your lives the happiness and delight you have so deeply rooted in ours! 10
