Quarterback, tears around end with all- Catholzc Guard, Ted Cottrell C627 and Mike Lueck C503 coming up to clear the path as Catholic Central's Fred Lauck t75J closes in fast. Sunday September 19th, saw the Sharnrocks of Catholic Cen- tral invade Notre Dame for their tirst Catholic League game in 20 years. With Don Chiodo's 97 yards rushing and strong de- fensive play throughout the game, the Irish battled from behind twice to gain an upset victory 19-13 over a highly touted C. C. squad. Chiodo plunged for a touchdown and extra point to knot the score at the end of the third quarter, after Steve Trupiano had sprinted 8 yards for an earlier tie-maker. George Garascia made a circus-catch of a Terry Ternplin pass for the garne- deciding touchdown. NOTRE DAME 19 CATHOLIC CENTRAL 13 Two C.C.'s....
