Lining up for the iudges are several gaily costumed Halloween hoppers. The profits from the Halloween Hop boosted the stock ofthe school paper, The Shield . l . f .av Toast of the Town ! Notre Dame's Record Hops have become the toast of the town. During the school year, the crowds average about 1200 weeklyg during the summer even more attend the popular hops. The hops have become internationally famous - record- hoppers come from Canadian schools as well as frorr at least T30 schools in Southern Michigan. Occasionally the hops feature a guest disc-iockey, but the tops in music is always featured, 1 llglx ., .
