You can please some of the people . . . etc. Girl in the foreground doesn't look too pleased wtih the song being played.

' P . K. VEVA VILL' L: HY ql I I F ' V 'ffjf , T 4 The annual Goodfellow Soup Bowl charity game, a game played by defending champs-East and West, is put on for the benefit of the Capuchin Monastery on Mt. Elliott Ave. The proceeds of this game plus other contributions provide meals for derelict men who come to it's doors each day. Fr. Bernard, prior of the monastery, always a most gracious host, this year welcomed Notre Dame and St. Mary's of Redford to the banquet. Notre Dame was happy and, especially, proud to be guests as it listened to words of praise from Fr. Horkan, Archcliocesan Supt. of Schools. On Fr. Horkan's right is H. Schramm of the Free Press. On his left is Mr. Sam Wadden, Archdiocesan director of Athletics. We accept this trophy with pride and appreciation, says John Ureel, captain of the Irish football squad. wk John Ureel happily presents to Fr. St. Onge the Goodfellow Soup Bowl Trophy while the team and Fr. Verow look on proudly. 43
