. Mill: ca Q ' Archery division of the Conservation Club The modern high school is a far cry from the golden rule days of yesteryear, and Notre Dame is no exception. Our clubs and extracurricular activities offer undreamed opportunities for creative experience, for growth in leadership, for religious and moral development, for training in the wholesome use of leisure time. Thus, we have Our Lady's Sodality with its program for per- sonal sanctification and closer union with Godi We have the Student Council with its delegated authority and responsibility in matters of concern to the student body and to the school. We have the Conservation Club with its interest in the great outdoors and its regard for the protection of this Water Wonderland. We have our publications, The Shield and The Juggler, offering many students the perfect outlet for their special talents and giving many more due recognition for personal achievement in other fields of endeavor.. To be sure, these are only a few of our many outside activities, still, who can assess their contribution to our individual growth and development? What yardstick, what norm is adequate to determine the strength, the quality, the value they add to our foundation.
