The Senior boys find their Religion class the best part of their school day. Liturgy, the Pope's Encyclicols, Marriage, Vocations, and various practical problems are some of the topics which have brought forth interesting discussions. The class in Shorthand Transcription is busily employed in typing mailable transcripts and in increasing their rate of accurate transcription. Mechanical Drawing students ore keenly interested in their work which introduces them to Pattern Drawing, Architectural Draw- ing, and Machine Drawing. English Literature has proved to be most interesting and fascinating to the Senior students. Chaucer, Milton, Shakespeare, Tennyson, Browning, Newman, and other great literary lights have offered a storehouse of knowledge to them. The study of Essentials in English has helped to improve their everyday speech.

The pages were all turned to Chapter XVIII Reforming the Delinquent in the text. The recent Kefauver Investigation Committee met with favorable and lengthy comment by the Sociology students. From Our Times another discussion topic pertaining to Senate investigating committee, entitled More Federal Power over Criminals, was likewise recognized and debated thoroughly. Bookkeeping students, having completed their first practice set involving simple bookkeeping procedures, are now tackling the more complicated problems of reserve and accruals. Future Homemakers of N.D. This Foods Class are exercising their art at baking cookies. But vitamins and calories receive their share of study in preparing well-balanced meals for healthy minds and healthy bodies. Typing I. These students are getting office experience in a typing pool of the National Company. They spend a week with each department of the company becoming acquainted with the various letter forms and business papers used in these departments.
