Dorsey is presenting to Buddy Kurz a Schaefer pen and pencil set-his prize for one of the outstanding essays in the contest sponsored by the Quincy Sales Executives Club. More efficient library service has been realized in a marked degree through the efforts of the Library Guild. Their courtesy, friendliness and generosity of service has mode library time most enioyoble for N. D. students. Jock Schroge, president of the Student Council, is being congratulated by his two opponents, Tom Heckenkamp and Buddy Kurz, whom he defeated in the Student Council election in September.

Student Council Officers- Jack Schrage, President, George Klingele, Vice-president, Kitty Ridder, Secretary, Kenneth Hilgenbrink, Treasurer- These officers were elected and sworn into office in September and remained in office throughout the entire school year- Student Council officers are seated. The Homeroom representatives of the first and second semester are standing. The purpose of the Student Council is to develop student responsibility, initiative, and school pride, to promote school welfare and student cooperation. Donna Duniven was one of the winners in the Essay Contest Selling As a Career, sponsored by the Quincy Sales Executives Club. Mr. Donald C. Dorsey is presenting to her a beautiful Schaefer pen and pencil set. Vocation talks were given during the month of March. Mr. Elmore, from the Moorman Manufacturing Company was one of the speakers. Seated with Mr. Elmore are Mary Margaret Schulte, reporter, and Roger Brod, assembly chair- man. Standing are Jack Schrage, Presi- dent, and Kitty Ridder, Secretary.
