The Notre Dame faculty is a group of dedicated men whose lives are an admirable fusion of the roles of religious and educator. As religious they are spiritual Crusaders whose lifework is devoted to the holy land that is a man's mind and soul. XVith the hel- met of faith and the twin-edged sword of wisdom and knowledge, they attempt to cleave from their students contagion of error, sin and prejudice. They garnish their young charges' knowing faculties with truth and strengthen their will in the pursuit of good. They teach the most chivalric and noble code of all times f the Sermon on the Mount. Christian, humanist, and Crusader in his thoughts and approach, the Notre Dame educator attempts to develop the complete man in the fullness of his physical, intellectual, social, moral, and spiritual powers, W' K at
