Com- ing out of virtual obscurity, he developed into a great rebounder who made the Notre Dame 3 fast-break possible, with his strong down-the- ' J court heaves. His deadly overhead shot and , drive-ins opened many enemy defenses, and set the stage for many high scoring tilts. He averaged a respectable 8 points a game for his guard-feeding post. ' 4 sa ' s CLAYTON CARDINAL A three-letter man in sports Bee greatly con- tributed to the Crusaders' winning hoop season. He was a valuable rebounder with the instinct of a champion to grab the all-important rebound. A good court watchdog he blocked many shots in front or beneath the basket. On the offense his strong. sure hands made him an ideal feeder from his guard post. EDGAR LAVOIE The business and care of any team often require the services of many more men than players. lt is the im- portant job of the manager to oversee all the dress and play equipment for this or that particular sport. The Notre Dame hoop squad has profited from the devoted services of Edgar Lavoie who. as manager, has brought efficiency, thoroughness and a light heart to his work.
