FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS CONSTANZA CARO You may often have wondered about that perky duet you used to see walking the halls of N. D. carrying on a rapid conversation in Spanish. ln case you're still wonder- ing, it was Lucrecia Braham and Constanza Caro, our two foreign exchange students, getting together for a chat between classes. Lucrecia, an avid admirer of basketball and the guitar, came to Elmira from Guatemala. She is planning to study at Saint Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, which is now her present home. However, before doing so she found it necessary to improve both her English and her knowledge of chemistry. She started attending Notre Dame last October in preparation for her future study in the field of nursing. Constanza arrived at the home of Dr. and Mrs. William Kelly, as the guest of their daughter Mary, on Thanks- .1 V, K.-.,,... :QE P ar 4 si 'S IW LUCRECIA BRAHAM giving Day. She remained there until February when she moved to the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Gridley and their daughter Mary Anne until June. Here at Notre Dame she studied English, Spanish American history and art. Constanza claimed that swim- ming was her favorite hobby and that she also enioyed reading. Upon her return to Colombia, Constanza plans to study psychology at the local university. The entire student body enioyed the infectious laughter, gaiety, and friendliness of both students and will always remember them. To you Lucrecia and to you Constanza, we wish to extend our best wishes for a successful future and to tell you that we will miss you in the coming years.
