,Dedication As a tapestry is made up of threads interwoven and joined together, so Notre Dame is people - their lives intertwined and bound to each other-. If there are too many loose threads or if the work is not tied tightly enough, the tapestry begins to fray and unravel, eventually falling apart. This year many attempts have been ,made to mend the loose threads of the past. We at Canticle would like to dedicate this book to all the stu- dents, teachers, and especially administrators who have made these attempts. This yearbook is published for everyone, but dedicated only to those who have done something very special by bringing us together into a more meaningful pic- ture. Therefore, this dedication is for all who have taken the time to care and give of them- selves, for in that they offer their most valuable possession. We have tried to make Canticle '72 a true reflection of the people who are Notre Dame. Therefore, we dedicate our yearbook to those who have worked to make the tapestry that you see in the pages of this book whole again, something to be proud of. .
