Brother Rembert was once corpmissioner for the religious houses on the campus at Notre Dame University. He was a familiar sight in his panel truck buzzing from house to house fulfilling the many wants of hundreds of religious at Notre Dame. Prior to this, he was stationed in Valatia, New York and Rolling Prairie, Indiana. At St. Ed- ward's University, Austin, Texas he was commis- sioner and supervisor of the student snack bar. Another school, Holy Cross, New Orleans utilized his talents in directing their cafeteria. Here at Notre Dame the beautiful grounds and flowers are his charge. Although seldom acknowledged we hope that this word of praise will be a fitting evidence of our appreciation. Brother Luke, a person of unusual wit, enlivens the community with his music on the zither, the iew's harp and the violin. His assignments have been as unusual as his interests. He has farmed at Watertown, Wisconsin and at St. Edward's Uni- versity, Austin, Texas. When a good prefect was needed to handle the study halls at the university he undertook that iob. For almost a score of years he was canvasser for the Ave Maria. At Notre Dame Brother Luke can be found limeing lines on the track, or riding the lawn mower or driving the ieep. We are indebted to him for all his efforts and for the splendid condition of our athletic fields. rw! P' if ,SVS it H!
