Model U. N Y M C A Model United Nations The Bishop Gibbons Model UN, a chap- ter of the interscholastic Model UN, has been one of the largest and most active organiza- tions in our school this year. Under the leader- ship of Vice-President John Bradt and moder- ator Br. Pellegrino, the Bishop Gibbons chap- ter recieved twenty-one delegations to the General Assembly and two delegations to the Security Council. Through participation in the organs of the Model UN, members learn in a new and exciting way the problems presently confront- ing the United Nations and the method of so- lutions proposed by the member states. Dur- ing the Model UN sessions students assume the roles of real representatives to the UN. Bishop Gibbons, as one of the fourteen Model UN member schools, was also fortu- nate this year in having two students elected as interscholastic officers — Financial Director John Cecilian and President Roger Cochetti. 26 Chinese delegate, John Bradt and Ethiopian delegate Charles Sulzman participate in the deliberations of the Security Council.
