8123. Quicken' than the eye-N.lJ.'s prize-winning cheerlead- ers snapping through their paces. Capturing top place in the art-a's first annual rheerleading contest, our pep squad rc-teived a trophy along with the privilege of cheering at the CL.Y.O. Girls Championship Game. With nu-inbers of the .X..X., these agile lasses spent the basket' hall season cheering our teams to victory. February an nounted the alter-school swimming and bowling ses- sions, which many sportsters enjoyed. Later, tennis pre- sented a popular challenge. On Spring Fling Day, intra- tnural eliminations gave every girl the chance to display her prowess in softball, basketball, volley ball and ping pong. At the day's assembly, members of the Varsity and Alunior Varsity stepped forward to accept hard-earned letters and numbers. The senior outstanding lor sports- manship carried off a trophy. Last fling, alter Seniors sang speeial adieus to l'ac'ulty and underelassmen, was the announcement of '58's officers.

Plenty of Play Balances Bulging Rosters VVe've got that N.D.A. enthusiasm down in our hearts! sing team members and rooters as they start out to cheer the Bluebirds on to victory. The Archdiocesan girls' basketball league includes 7 school teams and is under the direction of the Catholic Youth Organization.
