Leading the school, under the watchful care of Our Lady, seniors substituted kindness for teas- ing in Freshman Day plans, inaugurating the Senior-Freshman luncheon. Another '57 first was sponsorship of the Winter Ball, which seniors endeavored to make Our Lady's Ball, Marylike in every way. Trash cans added a musical note to the memorable emergency Tryst drive which launched our yearbook with a cheer and a chuckle. Senior interior decorators produced the galaxy of angel-haired stars that shone down the stair-well at Christmas time, as well as several daintily chopped trees among the classroom and corridor decorations.
