Green- Ties Explore - I believe in God . . With these words begins Fresh- man reli ion. ln my country we cannot believe in God, says H. Ylernirtasln-v. as she points out her homeland to P. Robison, H. White, and K. Bridy. I am so happy that I can now live in 1 countr in which the boys and z . y girls say: 'l believe in and love Cod. ' Awed but inquisitive eyes peered from under the brims of brand new navy-blue hats, as our l38 freshmen, tightly clutching rosters, began to explore. First discovery was a new oppor- tunity for nearness to Our Lord, through a study of His Life, weekly confession, and lre- quent Mass and Communion. The school lib- rary became a treasure trove, where Miss Curi- osity became so absorbed that sometimes she was almost late for her next class, in Latin, English, algebra, world history, home economics, art, or physical education. Green-tied aquateers, however, registered dismay upon hearing that the legendary swimming pool was under repair, and could lltll he used. Disturbed because her algebraic graph is incorrect, M. Vargo looks on as H. Gleeson tries her luck. The smile of M. Roney shows that she is anxious to explain the right solution. Watching with interest, at left, are C. Howell and D.
