ir A ear goof! welt A small group of children gathered around a humble peasant girl seated upon a rock . . . young and old alike assembled about the sick- bed ol' a paralyzed invalid . . . a band ol young nuns seated about the wheelchair ol their be- loved mother . . . all listening, entranced by the teaching ol' a humble servant of Cod at various stages ol' her life. -lulie Billiart, always instruct- ing hearts to know and love the Good God, established a plan ol education destined to be carried throughout the world by her teaching congregation, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Today, thirteen ol 4Iulie's daughters relay her educational ideals to students at Kay Street. Combining kindness with firmness, the Sisters instruct the girls in the way of God set down by their loundress. Notre Dame is as truly a meet- ing place where .Iulie's teachings are spread as were the rock, the sickbed, and the wheelchair ol' her lifetime. 'l'he apostolic spirit of Blessed julie llilliart, foutldress of the Sisters ol' Notre Dame de Namur, is caught here in sculpturu mnmc Busy at her favorite task, she teaches a child of the goodness v God. . .
