Reading, swimming, walking, traveling, and attending the theater are things Miss Florence Meister en- joys doing in her spare time. This year, she taught English II. Miss Meister is glad to teach at NDA which she says has very fine aca- demic standards. Another new member of the NDA faculty is Sister Mary Llisa, whose teaching schedule includes Church, Religion 10, Algebra II and Pre-Cal- culus. wfi X Mrs. Vilija Karalius Miss Genevieve Winslow Miss Mary Anges Jones fshown to the leftj is a very special teacher at Notre Dame. Miss Jones provides Voice lessons three times a week for students who wish to train their voices for possible professional work. Mrs. Vi1Ua Karalius is the varsity and junior varsity volleyball coach, and this year, Mrs. Karalius taught Physical education, Health, and Dri- vers' Education. When she is not busy teaching or assisting the G.A.A. in planning activities, Mrs. Karalius enjoys painting and playing the guitar. When asked what she has learned from her students, Mrs. Kar- alius answered-how to stay young when yourire old. One teacher who has seen many students come to Notre Dame and then graduate is Miss Genevieve Winslow. Miss Sue Gottenbos MM Miss Sue Gottenbos has spent some of her time after school this year working with the students on the spring musical, The Fantas- ticksf' Miss Gottenbos is the music coordinator and participates in the preparation of the student body Masses. N.D.A. is a high class school, says Miss Gottenbos. This year, she has taught Religion 9, Fun- damentals of Music and Advanced Chorus. Miss Gottenbos also enjoys playing the guitar, singing in her church choir, drawing, and sewing. Another of Notre Dame's part- time instructors Cshown to the leftj is Ms. Gloria Sanchez. Her class, Ap- plied Music, gives students the op- portunity to progress in instrumental music. Miss Sanchez, who is a gra- duate student, also enjoys Israeli and Balkan dance.
