Sister Mary La Tier, Notre Dame's principal, believes in the ad- age, lf you give a person a fish, youive fed her for a day. lf you teach a person how to fish, you feed her for a lifetime. This year, Sister has taught Geometry, Conflicts of Faith, and is also a part-time counselor. In addition, Sister is the moderator for the California Scholarship Feder- ation. For her leisure time activities, Sister enjoys reading the classified ads and Luis Mendoza detective sto- ries. In addition to being assistant prin- cipal and director of guidance, Sister Gina Marie instructs students in In- troductory Physical Science, Chem- istry and Physics. As a teacher, Sis- ter feels that it is important to chal- lenge a student's potential. It is in stretching to meet these challenges that growth takes place. Sister is also the moderator for the Student Coun- cil and the Student Activities Coun- cil. Sister has learned from her ex- periences that it is possible for a teenage girl to be concerned, knowl- edgeable, responsible, involved, cre- ative, Catholic, and totally contem- porary. Sister's hobbies include watching U.S.C. football games and listening to Baroque music. This page is sponsored by the Kennedy Family. Sister Mary La Tier, S.N.D. Sister Gina Marie, S.N.D
