S.C. SPONSCRS MISTLETGE MAGIC As in the past, the Christmas Dance was sponsored by the Student Council, and the theme this year was again Mistletoe Magic . It was held in the gym on Wednesday evening, December 20, 1978 from 8:00 p.m. until midnight. A large number of students and their dates danced to the music of a live band. WORLD'S FINEST SOPHS WIN DRIVE The Sophomore Class proved that they are the world's finest as they won this yearls Wor1d's Finest Chocolate Drive, held during the last two weeks of January. The sophomores captured first place, reaching 12071. Close behind them were the seniors with 1 1596 and the freshmen with 1 11721. The highest selling homeroom was senior homeroom 205 with 150'k. Also, every student in 205 brought in her quota, so they received special recognition for perfect cooperation. Other homerooms with top returns included freshman homeroom 306, 14671, sophomore homerooms 209 and 309 with 13276 each, and freshman homeroom 308 with 11106. Trophies were awarded to the three highest sellers in the school. The winners were Liz Pleshe, first place, for selling 540 bars, Dulce Hernandez, second place, for selling 390 bars, and Dana Bart, third place, for selling 320 bars. Congratulations also are in order for the following students who each sold more than 100 bars: seniors Rowena Agoncillo and Michelle Richardson, sophomores Kathy Brundo, Gianna DiGuire, Deena Merrill, Kim Morris andDebbie Willey, and freshmen Kim Green and Rita Rogers.
