ND DAY SHDWS STUDENT SPIRIT IS ALIVE! Notre Dame Day is an annual event which is celebrated in honor of Our Lady, Queen of the Rosary. There are no classes, the day is spent having fun and pouring out the strong spirit which unites the whole school. This year, Notre Dame Day was celebrated on Monday, October 9. Mass, the first event of the day, was celebrated by Father Peter Banks, O.F.M. Cap. Then everyone headed for homerooms to don costumes and make-up for the parade. After the parade the class cheerleaders put on their skits, demonstrating class spirit and led the class in cheers. There was time-out for lunch, and then the class volleyball teams began the battle for Number One. Each team played a tough game, but in the end, the mighty freshmen emerged as the victors.
