Penny dry, through her promise of talent as an actress, was arded the trophy for the best actress. The remainder the east also gave an excellent performance. With the election of Arlene Biagotti as queen, and ndra Gillis and Melodye Moulton as princesses, the mecoming festivities of Curley High School began. The 'irvest Dance was the next event on our calender. A x supper and a night of square dancing was the special traction for the senior class. Skip day was held at the traditional scenic place of randon Park. The voices of 118 girls were heard as We joyed a day of swimming, picnicing, and games. The second annual reception of the new members of e Children of Mary was held on the first Friday in eeember. This was a solemn ceremony at which Father earden blessed the miraculous medals of the Blessed other and presented them to the new members. The oly Sacrifice of the Mass was then offered in their Il0I'. With the joyous season of Christmas came the Senior ing Dance. The most exquisite decorations were pre- ared for the occasion. Our faces reflected pride and joy .lsliaforg - ...lllllllll ' ,. as we stood under the symbolic ring to have the memories of the night captured in a picture. During the'middle of january we, the seniors of Sister Agatha's Home Economics class, took part in a fashion show. We modeled the clothes which we had made during the first semester. The styles were varied ranging from playelothes to dresses. The journalism class sponsored a calender party which was most interesting and enjoyable. Tables were decorated representing the months of the yearg entertainment and refreshments were enjoyed by those who attended. The junior-Senior Ministrel was eagerly anticipated by parents and students alike. XVith Sister Cyrenia Marie and Mrs. R. Barbick, as our directors and advisers, the show proved to be an enjoyable occasion. It was a beautiful May afternoon when we, the seniors, and our mothers accepted the invitation of the sophomores to attend a tea given in our honor. XVe were served Petit-fours and coffee or tea. We wish to thank the sopho- mores for their wonderful hospitality. Tests always seem to be the hardest part of school life and it was no exception with the Gainesville Ex- aminations. Most of us had a -firm desire to attend col- lege, and the numerous questions that entered our minds were answered by our counselor, Sr. Jose Marie. Fathers proudly escorted their daughters to the Father- -5 daughter breakfast given by the junior class. The forth- coming seniors of '63 were delightful hostesses and we were gratified with the hours of planning and work in which they so successfully accomplished in giving us the - breakfast. -1 As one of our last activities as a senior at Notre Dame, we attended a beautifully planned dinner and banquet -: held in our honor. Following the banquet, awards were given to the most deserving students. We wish to thank the members of the guild for an enjoyable evening. 'LEE The long-awaited day of graduation finally arrived and with it came tears both of sadness and of joy. As we walked up to the altar of St. Mary's Cathedral we were reminded of the effort that was put into our work these past three years. A speech by Bishop Carroll was directed to the seniors. As we walked out of the Cathedral doors we realized that this was the last of our high school days. At Notre Dame we have acquired many Christian ideals which will always guide us in our future lives. In the days to come we hope to prove ourselves worthy of the title ' a graduate of Notre Dame Academy of 62'.
