In recent years we have had dramatically demo- strated to us that education is one of our society's primary sources of strength, Thus our American school system is dedicated to giving every boy and girl the opportunity and encouragement to climb as far up the educational ladder as his ability and am- bition will take him. The total worth of our nation is measured in terms ofits human and natural resources. The value of each individual to his community and, in turn to the nation, depends largely on the educational opportunities made available to him and the use that he makes of them in his life.
