Mr. Parker began teaching at the Balch School in September of 1953, and in 1961 he moved to the old Junior High. He was welcomed as a guidance counselor at the High School in 1965. In addition to his guidance responsibilities, Mr. Parker was the ad- visor to the National Honor Society and Business Manager of the Yearbook. His in- terest in school activities, his care and concern for students, and his friendly smile will definitely be missed around Norwood High. The Class of 1985 thanks Mr. Parker and wishes him a well-deserved happy and restful retirement. 17 18 FACULTY 19 Mr. James A. Savage Superintendent of Schools Mr. Ralph A. A Song For Ed This is a story of a country boy named Eddie He came from the mountains of green He had a dream, he had everything but now it ' s gone, lost with the faded memories which are locked inside all the pain (chorus) Hey where are you man Lost inside a room with no door Eddie please come home we need you back more than before All the nights we were drinking you said that you had a lot of plans that ' s all over now like a window shattered with one throw The last time I saw you the light was growing dimmer on the road everyday I still remember as the rain falls upon my weary mind (chorus) As all these days grow shorter I can see that the light don ' t shine no more Ed die please remember that these tears are cried just for you As I look down the road I see a crossing hoping that this nightmare will end Eddie Where are you now I want to know if you still can see a light (chorus) Hey Eddie this song is for you I hope this ain ' t the way to say goodbye Cause everytime that the rain falls we hear your name echo in the wind (chorus) by Stan Amato Ca.n tv« 50... Certain activities this year ' s Key Club has been w orking on include peanut sales to help support the Kiwanis Club and lottery ticket sales to increase stu- dent scholarship funds. We also sold postcards so that people would write to a Scottish boy who was dying of leukemia. We planned bake sales at various school functions to support the needy. At the beginning of the year the officers met with other Key Club officers from surrounding towns. It was a great opportunity for the officers to meet with others with similar interests. 147 Jill Kelly 148 Diane Gilbert 149 e ' Tom Garrity 150 Susanne Maher 151 Siudeni Atf Umbrella Man Bob Ross Barbara, Jean Miethe Self Fishing, David Heckmann Countdown on 3rd Ave., Rich Silva Busts, Jen Wheeler, Michelle Cormier Universe Unhinged, Michelle Cormier 152 «w Self with Parrot, Jen Wheeler Eclipse, Bob Martin ' Laura Bob Ross Gfudenf AH 153 l( i 7Jo ' j a Choral Groups m-: Chamber Choir: Row 1: J.
