CLASS OFFICERS AS JUNIORS Standing: Bagley, Connolly, Berry, Curtin, Feeney Seated: Armour, Curran The Pickle In The Middle Back we trooped in September of ' 56, feeling quite assured and at home, when as Juniors, we assumed a moi-e important place in the scheme of things at N. H. S. We elected as our officers: Arthur Armour, President; Paul Connolly, Vice- President; Mary Lou Curran, Secretary; Lorraine Berry, Girls ' Treasurer; Peter Curtin, Boys ' Treasurer; Ruth Bagley, Girls ' A. A. ; and Edward Feeney, Boys ' A. A. The football season saw Lane, Glebus, Feeney, Greenwood, DeBenedictis, Sulli- van, Chamberlain, Curtin, Ferris, Griffin, Gore, Butters, and Gordon starring on the gridiron. Making names for themselves in basket ball were Sansone, Armour, Glebus, John- son, Barrett, O ' Connor, and above all, literally and figuratively, Kevin Dixon. The hockey scene was dominated by Campisano, Baldwin, Griffin, Curtin, Lane, and Butters, and when the diamond days arrived Rogan, Dixon, Armour, Feeney, and Balfour starred in their roles. On the snowy night of March 1st, we held our prom with the gym a beautiful tropical paradise, complete with palm trees, pineapples, gayly colored flowers, and a fountain to provide a lovely atmos- phere. George Malacinski ' s bird cage and parrot certainly added to the attractive- ness of Our Enchanted Evening. In the Spring of the year our Boys ' State Representatives, Edward Feeney, Kevin Dixon, and Martin Glebus were se- lected, and we chose Peter Kulsa and Julia Ruotolo for the important positions of yearbook editors-in-chief. In June, we honored the out-going Sen- iors with a Class Day Reception and we looked forward to inheriting their posi- tions the next year. [26]
