Graduates of 1951: Once again it is my privilege to addre ss a brief message to you, the members of our graduating class. Let me first congratulate you on reaching this important milestone in your lives. It is a happy occasion for you, for your parents, and for your friends. As you move on now toward adulthood at this most critical period in the life of our nation, remember, if you will, that your most precious heritage as an American citizen is the opportunity to live in a free, democratic society — a society dedicated to the brotherhood of man and the fatherhood of God. With each succeeding milestone may you grow in your appreciation of the profound significance of that heritage. CHARLES A. HAYDEN, Principal

Dedication Within the past ten years, five issues of T OT including the present one, have been dedicated in sorrow and in respect to the graduates of Norwood Senior High School who have fought and died that others might live. We feel that the poem written by Stephanie Bonica of the Class of 1945 expresses most beautifully the sentiments we cherish toward our young warriors. And so with her permission we are reprinting here her poem. DELIVER US As God looks down upon our town today, He sees a loneliness about the square; For many a boy He once saw here has left To join a host of others over there. He sees today, as yesterday He saw, The changes that are wrought in towns by war; For Norwood ' s spirit, stressing freedom ' s worth, Encompasses the corners of the earth. In oceans, jungles, foxholes — everywhere God looks — He finds a bit of Norwood there, Portrayed by boys who not so long ago Walked down these very corridors we know, Joined in a true companionship - The mirth of high school days, Initialed books, tradition made. In countless different ways They left their mark within these walls to stay. Now we would in our TIOT tribute pay To you who sail the seas and search the sky — You graduates of Norwood High who march and fight. A simple tribute — as to God we send Our prayers — that soon the present war will end, Letting a blessed, lasting peace descend Upon a world that ' s missed the little things Too long. We pray That youth, with all the life and joy it brings To towns, in triumph may return. We pray That Norwood will come back again to stay.

fOfifUJORD How, fellow braves, squaws and papooses! As you can see, we have decorated the Tiot in the traditional war paint of blue and white. Tiot, my fellow tribesmen, when translated into the language of the paleface simply means Norwood. On the following pages we have recalled the heap big happenings of all the tribe from papocse to chief-- of tribal dances, of the warrior councils, of pow-wows, and of skirmishes with ether tribes. So read on, fellow aborigines, and keep in mind — a remembrance a day keeps the medicine man away. L. W.
