The attempts of our class to assume the dignity of Superior Seniors (the honor we had dreamed of for two long years) . . . the girlish giggles and the manly mischief which eliminated any possible decorum . . . the first conspicuous days on traffic when the smallest officers were carried along with the crowd . . . the valiant efforts of the football squad despite their numerous injuries . . . our vivacious cheerleaders who represented our school so well . . . the outcome of those vital class elections: Frank Malacaria, President; Elizabeth McGuff, Vice-President; Dorothy Stepanowich, Secretary; Constance Weisul, Girls ' Treasurer; Fred Feaver, Boys ' Treasurer; Patricia Donahue, Girls ' A. A.; Bernard Redihan, Boys ' A. A. . . . those un- forgettable performances in Junior Miss . . . the back stage escapades . . . the microphone system rigged up so that Miss Coleman wouldn ' t have to raise her voice (?)... that hectic week when class pictures were taken and those long lists of promised pictures . . . our excel- lent season record in basketball with Captain Shackley performing superhuman feats . . . our wonderful hockey team with Joe, Russ, and Ishky winning honor for the school on the Bay State All-Star Team . . . the trouble the girls had with Miss Ryan about those open lockers {22

. . . the birthday celebtations in the lunch room with the ridiculous gifts . . . the sensation Mr. Schultz ' s jeep caused on his arrival at N.H.S. . . . the strains of the French and Spanish songs at Christmas time . . . that humming bee-hive of activity and excitement known as the Tiot Room, and the vacation days spent there when the building was otherwise deserted . . . the crowning of Wally and Ann as King and Queen of Hearts . . . the strange music that floated through the corridors, broadcasting the fact that the spring operetta was underway . . . the activities periods when we had to be in three places at one time . . . our gala Senior Prom . . . the final weeks of school that arrived All Too Soon . . . that our fun and achievements were due to the faculty of wonderful teachers at N.H.S. . . . that special thanks is due Miss Gow and our Senior advisers . . . that for her help and inspiration on our yearbook, Mrs. Riley certainly deserves a medal . . . and finally that the fellows and gals in the class of the Half Century who shared in these three wonderful, memorable years are forever united by bonds of memory and now — The Time Has Come To Bid You Adieu Key men at n.H.s.
