To those of us in high school, we look forward to graduation. However, as graduation nears, we find ourselves dreaming new dreams and hoping for success in fulfilling those dreams. Sometimes we fail, yet We are always able to overcome our failures and look forward to a new day. We find strength in our realization that there will always be the dawn of a new day. 11 13 14 15 16 17 Seniors spend much time reflecting the past and an- ticipating the future. They see themselves as individu- als greatly changed by the Challenges which have confronted them the past four years. For them, the fu- ture offers a much broader spectrum of opportunities for learning and growth. In retrospect, they realize that high school, with its moments of elation and disappointment, has prepared them for future endeav- ors. For each success and each failure to come, there will continue to be a new day to follow. Clubs are a means through which students of similar interests can work and learn together. Students involved in an extra-curricular or- ganization are soon made aware of the need of workers as weli as leaders. They experience the sense of accomplishment and pride as their group completes various projects. Hence, a student develops many values and ideals which wili remain with him long after his high school years. Sophomores come into high school perhaps con- fused at first, but they fall into the new surroundings without much difficultly. The many new clubs and or- ganizations become familiar rapidly as the sophomore student involves himself with their activities. For the sophomores, the future holds one dream: becoming upperclassmen. In the meantime, they must endure the tortures that come with being the youngest students in the school. 144 Edward Acey Dennis Adams Patricia Adams Sharon Adkins Donna Alexander Carmen Allen Judy Allen Don Allison Rebecca Alsip Steve Amend Danny Ayers Judith Bach Gregory Baird Pamela Baird Kim Baker Teresa Baker Ricky Bales Rebecca Banks Penny Barber Duane Barton Patricia Bastin Dale Belleman Dorothy Bennett Sherry Bernard Vicky Bigelow Vickey Blevins Rhonda Bockenstette David Boeddeker Andris Bolgzds Kimberly Bowman Sharon Brady Diana Brewer Anthony Brice Shirley Brinson Paul Brock Richard Brown Timothy Brown Edward Burdett John Burnett Brenda Burns Soynia Burns Henry Burwinkel Patty Campbell Barb Cappel Teresa Carnes Clifford Carrier Eugene Carter Cindy Case Dyke Ceso Sandra Chambers Debbie Chappel Elizabeth Childers Diane Clark Robbin Clift Mike Coffman Cathy Condron Mark Cook Gregory Cooper Melanie Couch Steven Cox Ricky Creel David Crocker Kevin Cross Lena Curtis Ricky Daniels David Davidson Teresa Davis Jamie Denham Jacqueline Diamond James Dillon David Dotson Sandra Downing Deborah Dunn Beverly Durham Mark Dykes Richard Eagen Jeff Ealy Rebecca Eddingfield Mary Egan Darlene Elam Dean Elliott Mary Ellwein Theresa English Mike Evans Maria Fancher Debbie Faulkner Mary Feldhaus Carol Fichter Beth Fitzpatiick Diane Floyd Denise Foozer Janis Frazier Linda Frazier David Fuller Gerald Gabbard David Gaddis Daniel Gaffney Doug Garner Linda Garvey Donald Gay Arthur Gehler Dennis Ceisz Ricky Centon Christopher Geraci Lisa Giacci SOPHOMORESI 145 146 Lee Giles Robert Gillum Debbie Glisson Paula Coins Sharon Gorham Donna Gray Terry Cray Joseph Gross Kevin Gruenemeier Kimberfy Gumm Michael Guy Paul Haas Kevin Hanrahan Elizabeth Harris Jeffrey Hart Theresa Harvey Susan Haunert Danny Hays Lewis Hays Matthew Heaton Bobby Helton Lorie Heminger Russell Henderson Robert Hendricks Susan Hendricks Dianna Henges Leasha Hensley David Hewitt Tim Heywood Catherine Hill Kimberly Hill Tammy Hinds Thomas Hofmann Melvin Holt Terry Hopkins Cindy Stonecipher and Paulette Sampieri buy their Cliff Carrier proved his spirit to the school by wearing his cross ribbons from Nancy Morgan to show their school spirit. For some of them, this dedication goes even further than the classroom. They are found coaching sporting events, sponsoring clubs and organizations, Chaperoning dances, and even participating in money-making projects. Without their purchases of adVer- tisements in our yearbook, the staff would not have enough money to even produce an annual for the student body. We ask that the students of Norwood patronize these businesses so that they will find their ad purchases worthwhile and will continue to support our Silhouette. g i 'l'- ' FLhWEns , ndhL'aFenn kLunISTS- +34 Lost your HerFF Jones class ring? However, as the book devel- oped, we realized that NOBODY can understand what a job it is until confronted with it. This year, just as all others, we ran into problems; some of them were major disasters. The deadlines came too quickly, and the pictures came too slowly. During the summer, we planned what we wanted without considering practicalities. We found that we had to abandon many of these great ideas, and do things quickly in order to meet those wretched deadlines. When our first deadline rolled around, we panicked. We suddenly found everything to do and only a small amount of time in which to do it. We found out quickly that our theme related quite well to our task: we spent many long hours at school, and a few times, we almost saw the dawn of a new day. Our teachers were very patient with us through those trying times. When we finally survived that first deadline, we came to our senses and decided that We couldn't do the book alone e we needed HELP! SO we sought help from the high of- ficials, who brought the rest of our staff to our rescue. We appreciate so much the help they contributed. Thanks to everyone who helped make this book possible. As the years pass, we hope that this book will be a treasure in your life. We have done our best to make this book the best book for the Class of 1975. Ronah and Charlotte .
