Mr. Geselbracht listens to one of many who enters his office. rinciloaf 59245 new uture. As principal, Mr. Geselbrachtls main duties are the formation of school policy and supervision of the teaching staH. However, this year he has spent a great deal of his time advising the architect in the planning of the new school. After consultations with each department head, the general construction plans were completed and a model made for presentation to the voters. Mr. Geselbracht was largely responsible for student organization for the passage of the bond issue. Now that the new school is a certainty, more detailed plans can be completed. Mr. Geselbracht wants new ideas in education brought into the new build- ing. Plans include a schedule more comparable to a college format. Some classes would meet three times per week for different periods of time. There would be no regular study halls and homerooms would no longer exist. The cafeteria would not only be much larger, but would be open all day as a place for relaxation. Perhaps the most outstanding feature is the new library. Individual study carrels would be provided where students could use tapes, records, and hlms. Mr. Geselbracht will be directing the future of Nor- woodls students. 7 5 Communication is important in Mr. Geselbraehtls agenda.

Norw00d High School has been equipped with a teaching staff who not only spent many hours a day instructing students in the classroom but invested much of their time with extra curricular activities. This time consisted of several hours a week supplying the students with helpful answers and ideas for running an organization with ease and efficiency. With the guidance of those teachers, who may be credited with such practices, the students learned fellowship, organization, parliamentary procedure, respect for othersi wishes, and a true meaning of Norwood High School. This knowledge attained will be applied in future years. To those teachers we dedicate this book with gratitude and a sincere thank you. 24

Organizing school activities is the conccrn of Miss Nell Griffin, student coordinator and assistant principal. The technical school and night school consumes much of the time of assistant principal Mr. Elton Kistler. Norwood is fortu- nate to have a dedicated administration.
